On a beautiful spring Sunday, the 13th annual Pine View Wine Soiree celebrated 35 years of wildlife rehabilitation and education outreach. Sponsored by the Quad Packaging Corporation, the event provided an excellent assortment of wines thanks to Otto's in Milwaukee, food catered by Sendiks, music by Mark Davis, and graphic design by Carol M Design. This year's event focused on the 28 years of resident foster mom, Mr. Peepers. In honor of this super Great Horned Owl, a Great Horned Owl former patient, injured in the area, was released back to the wild. Special thanks to: PV board of directors, members, and new attendees: volunteers at the event, to include: The Waymans, Melonie Baker, Jackie Hegmegee, Paul Nowak, Randy Linert, and staff of Pine View. If we have missed anyone, my apologies. J. A super event, thanks to all who attended and assisted. See you next year!!!

Birds and Brunch
Celebrate the return of spring with us as we explore the Forest Beach Migratory Preserve's nature paths. The Preserve is graced with interesting and sometimes rare feathered visitors. Our own Pine View staff will guide you around the preserve and help you spot and identify resident as well as migratory birds. After the birding expedition, we'll enjoy delicious brunch catered by The BOG followed by a Pine View wildlife program.
The event will take place on Sunday, May 3, 2015, at the Forest Beach Migratory Preserve, 4970 Country Club Road in Belgium.
